Shifting Shame ~ A Journey of Safety, Healing, and Wholeness
For survivors of childhood sexual abuse, the weight of shame often feels like an invisible cage, impacting every aspect of life. This shame isn’t just emotional—it’s deeply physical, stored in the body and reinforced by years of living in survival mode.
When the nervous system is flooded with stress hormones like cortisol, it’s no surprise that practices like yoga or breathwork can feel unsafe or even triggering. That’s because healing requires more than movement—it demands a foundation of safety, connection, and understanding.
At Nook and Nourish, we hold sessions specifically designed to help survivors gently shift out of shame and survival, using a compassionate and trauma-informed approach.
These sessions focus on, establishing Safety in Your Body
You’ll learn how to release shame from the body and replace it with a sense of empowerment and self-compassion.
Techniques to calm your survival responses, helping your body feel at ease and ready to thrive.
We believe healing doesn’t come from forcing change, but from meeting yourself where you are—with kindness, patience, and love. Our sessions offer a safe space to explore, release, and rebuild.
What You’ll Gain:
A deeper connection to yourself, free from shame.
Tools to regulate your nervous system and create lasting inner peace.
A renewed sense of safety, worthiness, and belonging.
Healing is Possible. You don’t have to carry the weight of shame alone. Together,
we’ll honour your story, create safety, and move toward a future where wholeness
feels like your new home.
